Job Description
Database Creation and Maintenance.
Will be working closely with the Development Team for implementing changes
Backup and Recovery
Familiar with Export and Import
Database refreshes/restores
Database Upgrades
User/Permission Management
Performance tuning
Troubleshooting day to day issues that can come up. Eg space issues, job failures, backup failures, constraint errors.
Index Management
Setting up Maintenance Plans
Desired Candidate Profile
Must have good knowledge in SQL Programming (T-SQL) as well as SQL Admin.
Database Analysis and Performance Turning across multiple RDBMS like Sql Server, My Sql, Oracle
Should have good OS knowledge to troubleshoot any Database and OS related issues.
Should have an aptitude to investigate issues keeping Application requirements in mind.
Good T-SQL Knowledge and SQL server on a cluster
Backup and Recovery
Good Knowledge in OLAP and OLTP transactions
